Three ways to create your signature
Our Sign PDF tool offers three methods. Draw: use your mouse or touchscreen to draw your signature freehand. Type: type your name and choose a handwriting-style font. Upload: use a PNG image of your handwritten signature (transparent background works best).
Placing and sizing the signature
Once you have created a signature, the tool switches to placement mode. Your PDF is rendered page by page. Click anywhere to place the signature, drag it to the right spot, and drag the corner handle to resize. When happy, click "Apply & Download".
Multi-page documents
The signature is applied to a single page. If you need to sign multiple pages, download the signed file and re-upload it to add another signature on a different page.
Is this legally binding?
A visual signature embedded in a PDF is an "electronic signature" under most legal definitions. For high-stakes documents (real estate, court filings, large contracts), a qualified electronic signature (QES) with a cryptographic certificate may be required. For everyday use — NDAs, offer letters, approvals — a visual signature is more than sufficient.
